Her career highlights include being an Intensive Care Registered Nurse who has worked in Surgical/Trauma ICU at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC, Surgical/Trauma ICU at The University of California Irvine, and in Cardiac Intensive Care units at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and MICU and CCU at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She served as a Clinical research coordinator for the University of Massachusetts on many clinical trials for cardiac meds, procedures, and cardiac stents, most notably for the drug Plavix and the TIMI studies –which brought forth coronary drug eluding stents.
